Monday morning… it’s time to get things moving. It’s tougher to get going today since it’s a new year and “the break” is officially over. Christmas holidays are over. New Year festivities are finished. Except for a few post season college football bowl games, all the revelry of the past two weeks have come to an end. So, it’s time to get back to the real world.
We prepare for these times and look forward to them and work hard to get there! But, before we know it, it is over! All the anticipation, all the preparation, all the excitement is now a memory. The problem with “big” events is that they eventually end. We can’t live from big events to big events, from vacation to vacation, from special day to special day.
Eventually, we have to discover the joy of the individual moments. We have to learn how to make a holiday out of the mundane, every day experiences of living. We need to learn to take “mini-vacations” where we enjoy the small things. The big events are still great fun but we have a better perspective about them.
So, its Monday. It time to get things moving!
