Taco Bell has a new thing on the menu: The Tortada. Strange name. According to the description it is a warm flour tortilla loaded fire-grilled marinated all-white meat chicken, crisp shredded lettuce, diced ripe tomatoes, crispy flavorful bacon, and avocado ranch sauce, all grilled together hot and toasty.
That’s a mouthful! Watching the commercial highlighting this new menu item, I get the feeling that they are trying too hard. The real punch line has something to do with it not being a sandwich. It appears like the next revolution after their famous crunchwrap. Something you can hold in your hand like a…. sandwich.
I guess it concerns me when the best way to promote oneself is by comparing to someone else and trying to suggest how much better we are than the other guy. I think we kind of do that in real life, don’t we? We tend to have enough insecurities that we have to put the other guy down in order to put ourselves up. Sounds really lame.
Why can’t we just accept our uniqueness without it costing the other person? We have something to offer to this world without causing others pain. That includes the lowly sandwich!
