I know that this may come as a surprise but I was actually cold today. That statement becomes more impressive when you consider that I live in the desert and the temperature outside today soared to about 105.
I was in a local coffee house today and the air conditioning actually felt cold to me. I must be getting acclimated to the climate out here in Arizona since I couldn’t wait to get outside… to warm up! Crazy, I know.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I am very thankful to the person who invented the compressor. It definitely is necessary out here. I am not planning on turning off our air conditioners (that is right we have two compressors) and toughing it out through the dog day of summer. No way!
Air conditioners are designed to shoot cool air into the rooms of a house or business or other building. They actually change the environment. They are made to cool down those who are too hot, to bring comfort to places of discomfort and to help create a pleasant atmosphere.
I wonder if you and I should be “air conditioners.” Maybe, we should ponder how we can make that happen. There are plenty of situations that could benefit from us changing the atmosphere. Let’s get to it!
