This faith community that we now call “North Hills” began over a hundred years ago in the heart of the city of downtown Phoenix.

As the city expanded, so did the vision of our early leaders at that first campus. North Phoenix seemed to be a community that needed some folks who truly cared for them.

So, we packed up and headed toward the northern part of Phoenix after 74 years in the downtown area. First, the church met at Greenway High School until we finished a new building at 19th Ave and Greenway, which is where we have been ever since!

The church has always been focused on reaching its community and making impact on the lives of others. We are trying to maintain that external focus, and want to help people find some of the answers to life’s questions.

Over the last several years, that has included: addressing the needs of the homeless around us, supporting individuals and families who are in financial crisis, developing fun activities that encourage kids and family interaction, offering recovery meetings for those who are ready to address their addictions, and more.

We hope to dive into the problems of our community in order to help them find solutions. We are ready to take the next step in our journey to see where God is involved and find a way to join Him in His mission.

We are affiliated with the Church of God with headquarters out of Anderson, Indiana. It is a globally minded group of churches which are serious about the Great Commission to “Go” to all the world.

Due to the fact that we believe collectively that everyone who knows Christ is a member of the Church, we do not have formal membership.  To find out more about the Church of God, go to www.Chog.org.
