Child sex slavery is often identified as an overseas issue; however, buying sex with a child has become part of the multi-billion dollar sex industry in America. The average age of entry for a child sold into prostitution in the United States in 13. The National Center for missing and Exploited Children estimates that more than 100,000 children are brought into this industry to be sold for sex every year. This means that overall more than 300,000 of these young victims are on the streets of the United States working at any given time. Major cities in the United States in the United States, such as Phoenix are facing the realities of this overwhelming problem.

Having few choices, law enforcement agencies must process these victims as criminals and place them in either juvenile detention centers or send them to jail. Beyond the sexual abuse, these young girls, some as young as nine years of age, suffer from severe psychological, emotional and social abuse. Once they are released and with nowhere to go these victims return to their pimps. StreetLight takes a revolutionary approach to eradicate child sex slavery by providing safe housing, producing the environment for life transformation and preventing exploitation from child sex slavery.

Crusade’s mission is launching spiritual movements by winning, building, and sending Christ-centered multiplying disciples. College campuses have been a critical part of the strategy for Campus Crusade since its inception. Many young people are having their lives changes by these chapters at campuses across the US. Some 1600 plus campus ministries are working to grow disciples. But to do this, it requires dedicated people, many of them just out of college themselves, committed to raise their own support.

Young Life (ASU West)

Learn More

Young Life is active in various high schools and middle schools in the area. Young Life is making a difference in kids’ lives. They are committed to introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grown in their faith. Young Life also aims to establish and maintain a presence at all high schools and middle schools in the local area.

Young Life believes that in order to reach kids they must go where they go and enter their world. Every week in their local area, Young Life staff and volunteers can be found at school events and practices and at kids’ favorite hangouts. In many cases, they are the only adult friends kids have in their lives. Their work could not be done without financial support. We want to help them reach generations of kids who desperately need to hear a message of hope.

Engage Globally

We are passionate about obeying the great commission to take the Good News to the entire world! And passionate to include all of you! No matter where we go or what we do, we are bringing God’s light to dark places.

We have begun a relationship with Weekend Missions, which takes persons from the Phoenix area down each weekend to make a difference in the lives of the poor and the under served. We had a team go recently and are planning on another trip soon.

Weekend missions are committed to providing for the physical and spiritual needs of the poor, widowed and orphaned. They provide inexpensive and short-term experiences for people to give themselves away. Typically, they have a balanced mix of young people, busy professionals, families, and retirees who seek a short-term mission experience.  They are simply looking for people willing to lend their unique gifts for one weekend.
