"Go out and make disciples in all the nations. Ceremonially wash them through baptism in the name of the triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then disciple them. Form them in the practices and postures that I have taught you, and show them how to follow the commands I have laid down for you. And I will be with you, day after day, to the end of the age."
-- Matthew 28:19-20--
This faith community that we now call “North Hills” began over a hundred years ago in the heart of the city of downtown Phoenix. As the city expanded, so did the vision of our early leaders at that first campus. North Phoenix seemed to be a community that needed some folks who truly cared for them. So, we packed up and headed toward the northern part of Phoenix after 74 years in the downtown area. First, the church met at Greenway High School, then we finished a new building at 19th Ave and Greenway where we spent nearly 30 years, and we are now located in the neighborhood just northwest of Greenway Ave and Cave Creek Rd.
While the location of our community has changed, the mission of the community remains to seek after God and God's mission for everyone: Love God and love others. The North Hills Community is passionate about impacting the world around us as we grow closer to the heart of God. At all times, we seek to make disciples for God with our every action and word everywhere that we live, work, and play.
